Spatial data analyis is an integral component of almost all projects
undertaken by IRBA. A variety of computer
applications operating on both Linux and Windows environments
are used to assist with the management and analysis of data.
Data capture and validation, integrated with surface mapping
and subsurface drillhole data leads to the development of
geological models. The increasing availability of remotely
sensed data has enabled structural mapping and land use
classification to
better visualise and analyse geographic and geological information.
Some key areas of expertise include:
- hazard assessment
- analyses of remotely sensed data
- geological/terrain modelling
- modelling and laser scan data
