Whatawhata, Kawhia, Tihiroa, Te Kuiti, Mangapehi, amd Mokau
coalfields. In the South Island, detailed assessments have been
carried out in the Buller, Pike River, Greymouth, central Otago,
Kaitangata, and Ashers Waituna coalfields. In Australia, an assessment
was made of the Flynn deposit in the Latrobe valley, Victoria.
