Nick Jackson,
joined IRBA in March 2006. He has been involved with a variety
of work including geotechnical investigations and well site geology for
development drilling at Maui, Pohokura and Tui offshore Taranaki
projects.
Previous to IRBA, Nick was BHI's training and development
manager for NZ operations.
Nick has a particular interest in geochronology and sedimentology.
His MSc thesis concentrated on K-Ar dating of Oligiocene glaucony
in an attempt to increase dating resolution.
Between studies at Victoria University Nick worked as an English teacher
in Japan. Any opportunties to return to Antarctica would be considered.
