Ian Brown
is the Managing Director of Ian R Brown Associates Ltd. He founded the company
in 1984 and has provided technical leadership for most of the
projects undertaken by the company. His academic background is in geology
and engineering, and in 1980 he completed a Doctor of Engineering degree at
University of California, Berkeley, specialising in engineering of underground
openings.
Dr Brown is a member of the Institution of Professional Engineers
New Zealand, MIPENZ (Geotechnical & Mining). He is also a Chartered Professional
Engineer (CPEng).
